It's crazy how much happens in a year, and how much your life can change it that period of time. A year ago yesterday, I was admitted into the hospital with acute renal failure and they thought I was septic. I take you back a few days before this happened. About a week or more before, I was having this weird stomach pain and had no clue what it was, so I just tried to do my best to forget about it. Well I worked Monday night, and on my way home, my lower back started to hurt and I knew I had a kidney infection. So I called my work that night to call in sick for my next shift and by the time I got home I had a fever. The next morning(Tuesday) I got an appointment to see a doctor and they told me I only had a bladder infection, gave me antibiotics, and sent me on my way. By that night I still had 100+ fever and couldn't hold anything down. The same thing happened the next day. So by Thursday, I still had the same symptoms and called the doctor back and asked for a different medicine or something and they told me to give it time.

Friday was a little better, I was able to get my fever down, but that was it. So I told my mom I needed to go to the hospital, after the past few days of her wanting to take me, she told me to wait a little bit longer. I did, but nothing changed. My mom works at Kaiser and doesn't really trust any other place, she told me I can only go there or to Hoag in Newport. Kaiser was closer. When I got there they told me my kidney's were going into failure, I could be septic, and I was dehydrated. They admitted me into the hospital that night, July 2nd.

The next morning, the doctor told me if my labs came back better, he'd release me on the 4th. Well my family loves any reason to get together and BBQ and swim. And now the city moved the firework show to a park next to the house. So we sit on our driveway, have a little bonfire to roast marshmallows, and watch the crazy people trying to get to the park or find a parking spot firework show. But at this time, my mom wanted to cancel the whole BBQ and I wouldn't let her. And I was hoping to be released. But that evening, my fever came back! :( But somehow luck was on my side, since I woke up on the 4th feeling soo much better! And was able to go home, only 10lbs heavier from ALL the liquid they pumped into me!

It's just crazy how much my life has changed since then.

Well, my brother dropped of his dogs for us to watch for a few days.
Meet Penny
 And Roscoe
I love Roscoe, but I'm super allergic to Penny! And she does not take NO for an answer!

But I hope you have an amazing 4th! And be safe!
